Julia Ormond and Tim Roth spark well off each other as a young woman part-time dentist who starts a passionate affair with a prison inmate coming to the end of his 10-year stretch. Siobhan Redmond gives solid support as the dentist's best friend who finds her own life threatened , and Keith Allen gives a bizarrely manic performance as a violent Elvis-obsessed prisoner who thinks the prison dentists are stealing his gold fillings. There's plenty of class on show both in front of and behind the cameras in this bold and imaginative, sexually charged thriller.
