The basic storyline - three sons take their paralysed father to France so he can find the girl he fell in love with during the war - doesn't sound like it has a lot of comic potential. But Sons is lively, funny and well-acted by an enthusiastic cast. William Forsythe, D B Sweeney and Robert Miranda work well together as the brothers and the whole production is good-humoured. Look out for Jennifer (Flashdance) Beals in a small cameo as a transvestite!
