Despite two fine performances from Christine Lahti and young Megan Follows, this drama about a family in danger of losing its farm and falling apart never really seems to stay in focus. The basic story is all too familiar and the script uninspired and uneven. Lahti, as the wife who begins to realise that perhaps there's more to life and Fellows as the daughter, the only member of the family who seems to care whether or not they lose the ol' homestead, both do sterling work, but it's not enough.
