The accomplished stage actress is probably best known for her role as Marusia in Nikita Mikhalkov's Oscar-winning Burnt By The Sun.

She has also appeared alongside Tom Cruise in Brian De Palma's Mission Impossible and opposite Brad Pitt in Seven Years in Tibet.

At home, Dapkunaite won the best actress theatre award for Cynics and tne title role in Katia Ismailova.

TV work includes Stephen Poliakoff's The Little Prince and the sixth Prime Suspect opposite Helen Mirren.

Recent film work has included Emily Young's feature debut Kiss of Life with Peter Mullan.
