This is just what you'd expect from a Steven Seagal sequel to a hit original: well-made and exciting, but exactly like the first. Once again our Steve, just like Bruce Willis in the 'Die Hard' films, is the wrong guy in the wrong place at the right time. This time, a trainload of passengers is held hostage by a computer/weapons genius (Eric Bogosian) who, sacked by the US government, seeks revenge by taking control of the super-weapon satellite he invented and demanding a billion dollars. Seagal, a lethally talented agent-turned-cook, evades the initial heist and starts picking off Bogosian's men one by one. Sounds familiar? Of course it does - and it's just an excuse for limb-cracking, head-bashing mayhem, but fast-paced and enjoyable with it. Bogosian does what he can with the maniac mastermind ('Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, this is your captor speaking'). The fiery ending is sublimely silly but pretty sensational all the same. Hard to see that Steve can keep recycling the same story, but if it ain't broke why fix it?
