In spite of its weird mix of actors - David Essex, Sho Kosugi, Christopher Lee and Toshiro Mifune among them - martial arts fans will enjoy this ambitious action film. Just to confuse you still further, Kosugi, who played the villain in Rutger Hauer's Blind Fury, is the hero, and Essex the villain. What with shipboard storms and spies, plus schemes and swords in 17th-century Spain, there's no lack of incident in this one. Though it's rough at the edges, director Gordon Hessler, best known for his horror films, gives it some typically sinister touches. Also known as Journey of Honor.
