Gregory Smith
Born: 6 July 1983
Where: Toronto, Canada
Gregory literally grew up on movie screens. He went from co-starring with a seal in his first feature to holding his own against award-winning veterans like Richard Dreyfuss and Mel Gibson.
He began his professional career at age fourteen months when he appeared in a TV advert for a laundry detergent. Gregory moved into print modeling at age four and acting at age six, racking up guest shots on TV shows like Highlander.
In 1994, he made his big screen debut in the family film Andre, based on the true story of the friendship between a little girl and a seal. He co-starred as one of Richard Dreyfuss' three children in Krippendorf's Tribe.
Although he had a lead role in the little-seen 1998 film The Climb, Gregory went on to prove he could carry a feature as a bright teen who teams up with his neighbour (Kirsten Dunst) to battle toy action figures in Small Soldiers.
Gregory was next seen on the big screen alongside Mel Gibson in the war drama The Patriot, then as the youngest member of the James-Younger gang in American Outlaws.
