In this intense, well-meant, made-for-TV melodrama, Kellie Martin does a good job under difficult circumstances as a manic depressive who makes an escape bid from the psychiatric institution in which her mother has incarcerated her. James Marsden co-stars as a handsome but troubled young man for whom she falls at the clinic. When the authorities tell them it's best that they be kept apart, the pair decide to go on the run together. Downbeat but sincere and heartwarming.
