Roy Scheider is perfectly cast as a widowed Vietnam veteran who supports his 12-year-old daughter by working at a Las Vegas casino, in this fast-paced caper thriller, written and directed with some flair by Frank D Gilroy. Scheider visits prostitute Sonia Braga for monthly solace but, when she finds $560,000 left in her flat by a client, the pair decide to make the money grow. Suspense and romance in equal measure await this unlikely partnership as they find themselves in a frantic fix.
