Actor Al Pacino makes a passionate feature directing debut with this witty docu-drama that opens up the complexities of Shakespeare's Richard III. Merging comments from such actors as Kenneth Branagh with an abridged, star-studded performance, the exhaustingly enthusiastic Pacino refreshes the play that many know simply as 'the one with the ''My kingdom for a horse'' speech' - and proves that Shakespeare can be fun. It's just a pity we don't see more of the play itself. A must, though, for Shakespeare fans.
