A prison van is raided by a gang who want to use one of the inmates, Nick (Michael Madsen) as a driver in a bank robbery. Unfortunately for them, he's not too keen on the idea, but, as the bad guys are holding his wife, it seems he has no choice. Lots of car chases for fans of vehicular speed - and even a US President (Roy Scheider) facing kidnapping. Madsen is as tough as they come, but the low-budget story is too shallow to pack the punch of the film noirs of old.
