Almost a horror film, and rather a good one, showcasing the talents of Jude Law as a haemophiliac/vampire killer. He also seems to possess vague shape-shifting powers, although the story doesn't explain how long all this has been happening to him, or how he's got away with a string of dead girlfriends. Nonetheless, the inspector (an excellent performance by Timothy Spall) is inclined to let him go after he learns Jude has saved a girl from suicide... This leads to a sometimes exciting if rather too indefinite ending. Lots of blood. Fans of curious chillers will like it.
