Perhaps heavily edited, but any rate not making much sense, this is the snow-catter's answer to Waterworld, with a new Ice Age bringing temperatures down to 70 below (sounds just like England) and a group of snowborne American refugees heading for the Equator and livable temperatures.

Naturally all sorts of obstacles are put in their way, or we wouldn't have a film.

A fascinating premise, but dislikeable characters and disjointed direction freeze it over - even though Udo Kier is on typically creepy form as the sinister Dr Kessler.
