Playing like Jennifer Lopez's later big-screen release, The Cell, this sci-fi thriller also features an FBI agent who undergoes a brain operation to track down a serial killer. With the victims' memories implanted into her own head, agent Nicolette Sheridan is up and running to catch the monster. A plot like this could go either way: it could be intensely silly and ridiculous or it could be a great mix of sci-fi and thriller. Sadly, despite the sterling efforts of Sheridan and a good support cast (Peter Coyote, Stacy Keach), it lands clunkingly in the first category.
