An exciting crime thriller with Rory Cochrane as a shy LAPD Catholic rookie cop who gets involved in the search for a police officer who has turned vigilante killer, cleaning the streets of Los Angeles of all the usual scum. Gina Gershon is ideal as his tough, sexy partner, the case's prime suspect, who seems a tad unhinged, which Cochrane doesn't seem to notice when he starts to fall for her. The characters are enjoyably quirky and different, with Gershon and Ron Silver as the man from Internal Affairs really making something of it, while the nifty plot grabs you and holds you right up to the climax.
