Great cast, shame about the credibility in this spy thriller about the plot to capture real-life international terrorist Carlos 'The Jackal' Sanchez. Aidan Quinn plays a US naval officer whom CIA master spy Donald Sutherland discovers is the spitting image of Carlos. He persuades Quinn to 'become' The Jackal. Much of the film is spent on Quinn's survival training and dehumanisation and this part is undeniably fascinating. But an over-simplified treatment renders the film as a whole entirely unbelievable. Ben Kingsley gives one of his less inspired performances as an Israeli intelligence officer.
