Art forger Jason Patric is, er, framed for the murder of an art dealer and now has to show HE painted what's supposed to be a Rembrandt. This sticky thriller has more of an excuse for a plot than an actual plot - it's as fake as Patric's Rembrandt - and it continues the star's hopeless lack of good luck with his movie vehicles (just think Speed 2, where he replaced Keanu Reeves! ) The talents of an under-acting Irene Jacob, a jerky-acting Ian Holm and an over-acting Rod Steiger are also squandered in this tepid, slack-paced, quite boring outing. That said, it's just about passable as a brain-in-neutral time-filler.
