An arid drama, starring Ron Perlman and Stephen Lang, that originated in the mind of the late, great Rod Serling, creator of The Twilight Zone. It tells the tale of a drought-stricken mining town in the distant future. That's the least of the inhabitants' worries, as racial tension rears its ugly head when the town boss lynches a falsely-accused Native American. There's not a lot to make this futuristic, the plot being typical of countless Westerns. But then Serling always puts in those eerie little bits that make you think that there might be a dimension beyond those known to man. This is the dimension of imagination. And it sparks this mediocre movie just often enough to hold our interest.
