Fans of TV's Law & Order might like to sit back and enjoy this TV movie spin-off, which brings back Christopher Noth (who left the series in 1995) as Det. Mike Logan. The difference is that Logan has been transferred from Manhattan to Staten Island and the story has Logan at its centre (perhaps because Noth is a co-writer here). As he becomes involved in the case of a dead hooker, police corruption also comes into play - and even a little romance. As spin-offs go, this is decent fare, even if Noth's playing is a little uneven and the excellent Dabney Coleman is given a stock aggressive boss role rather than a real character.
