Desmond Harrington
Born: October 19, 1976
Where: Bronx, New York City
One of Hollywood's most up and coming young stars, Desmond was raised in New York City, and knew he wanted to act from a young age.
He studied acting and was introduced to entertainment manager Stephanie Simon who agreed to represent him and sent him to audition for The Messenger: The Story of Joan Of Arc.
Director Luc Besson cast him in the historical epic immediately and even greater things soon followed.
In 1999 he appeared in the independent comedy Massholes, and the following year he was cast in the Stacy Cochran-directed Drop Back Ten which was screened at the Sundance festival that year.
Desmond secured a small role in Boiler Room in the year 2000 and soon he was playing a fairly lead role alongside Leelee Sobieski in My First Mister - an opening film at Sundance.
The Hole, alongside Thora Birch was Desmond's most mainstream and hefty role thus far in his career and he was really drawn to the attention of critics.
