A near-future sci-fi thriller where the Internet proves to be so corrupt and corrupting that a totalitarian American government sets up a new section of the FBI, the Netforce of the title, whose sole purpose is to police the worldwide web. This comes in quite handy when it is revealed that computer tycoon Will Stiles (Judge Reinhold, miscast) is trying to take control of the online world, and therefore the planet, by introducing a corrupting virus through his own manufactured software. A dig at Bill Gates it may be, a competent thriller it is not.
