Justine Waddell

Waddell decamped from South Africa with her family to escape the political repression of apartheid when she was ten.
Landing in Scotland, she studied political science at Cambridge before embarking on an acting career which saw her joining the Royal Shakespeare Company.
She made her film debut in Bernard Rose's Anna Karenina in 1997 and also starred as Mary Heller in Dracula 2000 and Julia Bertrum in Mansfield Park.
Waddell was the dominating force in the BBC mini-series Wives & Daughters and other television credits included Great Expectations.
Theatre credits include The Seagull for the RSC and Ivanov at London's Almeida.
Recent work includes the Geordie romantic comedy The One and Only.
