Jerry, Russ and Sid hilariously bungle a jewellery heist (wasn't that the plot of Snatch? ) so they get the idea they can cut their losses by upping the ante and pulling off an armoured-car robbery. This crime caper is genuinely funny, witty, tense, appealing and, ploughing through all the genre's cliches, original. Adam Trese, Vincent Gallo and William Forsythe are perfect as the bungling burglars, so lowlife you'd need a limbo pole to get under them.
