Mike Mitchell

The illustrator and puppeteer made his feature directorial debut with the Rob Schneider comedy Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.

Oringinally an illustrator, Mitchell worked with Tim Burton and Spike Jonze.

Credits included storyboard work on Antz, James and the Giant Peach, Monkey Bone and Shrek 2.

Mitchell also worked in development for studios including DreamWorks and Disney and also did stints as a writer and puppeteer with Hanna Barbera.

He first attracted attention with the sci-fi short Herd, which won the Spirit of ?Slamdance at the 1999 Slamdance Festival.

After Deuce Bigalow, he made the seasonal comedy Suriving Christmas with Ben Affleck and James Gandolfini.
