Poor Kathleen Turner has the misfortune to star in this infantile baby romp as Dr Kinder, the chief executive of the world's largest baby products manufacturer, who picks the cleverest babies from her chain of private orphanages to raise them in a special development programme in an underground lab run by Christopher Lloyd. Dr Kinder thinks babies can talk to each other, a theory based on the fact that Tibetans believe all babies are born with complete knowledge of the universe and the ability to speak in an ancient language, though, just to bring thngs back to reality for a moment, their memories fade away after the age of two. With feeble trickery to make the babies look as if they're conversing, dancing, throwing grown-ups in the air or karate-kicking them, this misfiring comedy simply isn't cute. funny or clever -- just plain tedious. Our advice: if you want a nappy time, look elsewhere. Made by the director of Porky's. PG rated for rude behaviour and dialogue.
