Jason Gedrick, that nice boy from Rooftops a decade or so ago, has matured nicely and now takes on the Al Pacino-type role in this scintillating Godfather-style movie sequel, also derived from characters created by Mario Puzo. Britain's Jason (The Patriot) Isaacs plays a kindly priest embroiled in the plot and romantically linked to Kirstie Alley. Playing Gedrick's aunt, she embarks on a plot to kill the new don when she finds he's killed her son. And our own Patsy Kensit plays an FBI agent posing as a teacher to the don's handicapped daughter. A deliciously overheated stew, all stirred up to boiling point by a game cast, with the neglected Alley on scorching form.
