Prepare for a weepie, because here's a sentimental film about animals, specifically Old Drum of the title, the wonderful doggy pet of Charlie (Bobby Edner). Charlie's nasty uncle-with-a-family-grudge claims Old Drum has killed some of his sheep and so the dog has to go to court. Enterprise's Scott Bakula is the lawyer in charge of the mutt's case. Can we imagine a happy ending for the canine hero? We think so. A straightforward tale with little depth - for uncynical small children only.
