Trevor Morgan (from The Glass House) and Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense) are among four young Californian boys who capture a Japanese sailor (Yuji Okumoto). It transpires that he's part of an abortive Japanese incursion into California's waters following Pearl Harbor.

But, with the rest of America turning against Japanese-Americans, the boys start to question whether their prisoner is the real enemy.

It's a tender, solid and poignant drama, drenched in typical modern-day Hollywood nostalgia.

The cast also features Mark Harmon and Pat Morita, the wise old warrior from the 'Karate Kid' films.
