An uneasy mixture of computer-generated and hand-drawn animation from the creators of The Prince of Egypt, which was not itself a great success. Adventure and music set the stage for this Biblical tale of a boy named Joseph (blandly voiced by Ben Affleck), recounting the fall and rise of a young man with a colourful coat and the ability to predict the future from dreams. Stodgy dialogue and inattention to detail make this poor fare for children: no wonder it by-passed a cinema release.
