A thriller which is at once unusual and full of plot twists and turns which will keep you both surprised and guessing. A British film, it is nevertheless appreciably Gallic in style and setting (Normandy provides the background) and is based on a novel by Hubert Monteilhet. The music is by Carl Davis, who is especially known for his scores for contemporary presentations of classic silent films.
