This MGM musical was fashioned as a vehicle for tiny singing star Jane Powell. Unfortunately for her, all the notices were stolen by the equally diminutive Debbie Reynolds, already a dynamo at 18, especially when singing Aba Daba Honeymoon with gangling Carleton Carpenter. There's a bizarre dream sequence, choreography by Busby Berkeley, lots more songs and splashy colour photography by Alfred Gilks.
