Ten years after The Sting, Jackie Gleason and Mac Davis make the best of an unenviable task of taking over Paul Newman and Robert Redford's roles as conmen Gondorff and Hooker who, now in 1940 New York, trick the same man they duped four years earlier in Chicago. Oliver Reed takes the late Robert Shaw's role as their victim but it's Teri Garr who scoops the acting honours. Disappointing.
