A TV movie that won several awards (including an Emmy for the teleplay) in America for its quick-off-the-mark contribution to the AIDS debate. Aidan Quinn plays a successful young gay lawyer who must confront his family (who don't even know that he's homosexual) with the dread news that he has contracted the AIDS virus. Mom and Dad are played by Gena Rowlands and Ben Gazzara, fine actors but not renowned for restraint. There are some good moments in this highly emotional drama, but not as many as you might expect.
