A quartet of horror stories from the gore-minded boys at Amicus Films. There are too many corpses and too little chilling atmosphere, but the second episode is good, with father and daughter Donald and Angela Pleasence complementing each other well as a sinister match seller and his daughter. Put an apron on to catch the blood at the end of this particular story. The tales centre on an antique shop run by seemingly kindly old Peter Cushing, which turns out to be a bit like the one run by Max Von Sydow in 1993's Needful Things - nothing but trouble.
