Comical character actress Eve Arden takes centre-stage as Hildegarde Withers, a fictional sleuth first played by horse-faced Edna May Oliver back in the Thirties. Broad humour is to be had by placing the pernickety Miss Withers in the middle of New York's Greenwich Village as she searches for a missing heiress-turned-hippie.
