The type of socially concerned drama that American TV tackles with such enthusiasm, this one dealing with the sensitive issue of child abuse. Thanks to committed playing by the two leads - Lindsay Wagner as the over-burdened social worker and Peter Coyote as the single parent suspected of mistreating his son - the level of tension attained transcends mere soap opera. In the difficult role of the abused six-year-old, cherubic Taliesin Jaffe manages to convey a mute anguish that's inevitably affecting and he's quite outstanding in the climactic courtroom scenes, when the vile truth of the matter finally emerges.
