If you liked Soap on TV, you'll probably like this wild comedy romp aimed at adults only, very American in flavour, and worth a good few guffaws - although sometimes not as funny as it thinks it is. The central character is the smart Alec Dr Kildare type (Michael McKean), who never knows when to say the right thing, like telling the resident in front of a patient that `We won't know for sure until the autopsy'. He's in love with leggy Dr Stephanie (Sean Young), who keeps having attacks and dragging down curtains in restaurants with her spasms. These are about the only sane people in the hospital. Mostly fun, then, even though director Garry Marshall's timing isn't as sharp as it might be.
