Chad Everett doesn't look best pleased at his involvement in this tortuously plotted blackmail-and-murder mystery with a determinedly sleazy background of gay bars and lesbian businesswomen. Happily, Barbara Hershey - a handsome actress of undoubted ability - was able to put this behind her and go on to give award-winning performances in movies such as Shy People, A World Apart (both honoured at the Cannes Film Festival) and Hannah and Her Sisters.
