Once a promising actor in films such as 'Bus Riley's Back in Town' and 'The Happening', Michael Parks took a detour somewhere and ended up chewing the scenery in projects such as this. Actually filmed in 1968, it remained unscreened until 1976. Hard to tell why, since it's no worse than many average American television productions. Parks is a boozy Latino bandit who strikes an uneasy alliance with William Shatner's gun-runner after hijacking a boat-load of rifles. Realism is not its strong point.
