The moral of this daft movie is that you have to be crazy to be an honest cop. James Caan and Alan Arkin play two police officers whose adventures are sometimes comic, sometimes violent and usually a non-gelling mixture of both. The clumsy use of doubles for the action scenes also takes the edge off some of the thrills. Funny and exciting, but racist and cruel as well.
