Well-dressed Canadian science-fiction claptrap about time travellers lifting deathbound passengers from crashing planes. There are some interesting ideas here but, with stiff performances, tatty effects, indifferent direction and a script full of such lines as 'It's incredible' that beg the viewer to agree, the whole thing runs like an uninspired TV mini-series. Kris Kristofferson looks too old and tired for the role of the crash investigator, Cheryl Ladd (as the time traveller) shows why she's never really broken out of television and poor Daniel J Travanti, far from Hill Street (but not the blues), hams in frenzied fashion in an impossible role as the professor who suspects not divine but alien intervention. At the predictably fiery climax, the time travellers open the gate for escape to safety. Viewers may opt for an earlier exit.
