Inspirational casting is the basis for success in this unlikely action comedy. You couldn't imagine two actors less alike than strapping Arnold Schwarzenegger and little, barrel-shaped Danny DeVito. Casting them as twins is so ridiculous it just has to pay off in terms of laughs. And so it proves, even if they seem to be having slightly more fun than the audience. 'I hate violence' groans Arnie, throwing the bad guys 'through' a lift. 'But you're so good at it,' beams Danny, amazed to have a protective twin whose back 'looks like a map of North Dakota'. There's a bit of a plot too, but it's only an excuse for Arnie and Danny to fool around to some effect in identical costumes, whether wooing Chloe Webb and Kelly Preston, or dancing with each other. Down the cast is David Caruso, later the star of the first series of TV's NYPD Blue.
