William Shatner plays a secret service agent battling to save the life of the US president who is being held hostage by a lone-wolf terrorist in this well-plotted and exciting thriller. Shatner, best know as Captain Kirk in the Star Trek TV series and films, is well supported by a strong cast that includes Hal Holbrook as the beleaguered president, and Van Johnson and Ava Gardner as the vice-president and his wife. This tense and suspenseful film from Canada was an undeserved box office bomb.
