Insulting, unfunny "comedy" in which straight cop Ryan O'Neal and gay copper John Hurt pose as lovers to investigate an LA case of blackmail and murder. You'd expect some wit and fun from writer Francis Weber (the author of La Cage aux Folles) and director James Burrows (creator of Cheers and Frasier), but no, there's none whatsover. A rotten idea, lazy acting and putrid storytelling add up to a bad-taste experience. A big career-damager for O'Neal.
