So far there have been seven sequels to this hugely entertaining horror film about werewolves at large in modern-day America. Dee Wallace plays a TV newsreader who agrees to act as a decoy to entrap a notorious sex killer, all for the sake of ratings. But she realises that she and her lover Christopher Stone have bitten off more than they can chew when their investigations lead to an unusual commune run by psychologist Patrick Macnee. The special effects broke new ground at the time and the film balances the tongue-in-cheek humour and horror masterfully. A tasty, chilling treat.
