Another of director Gordon Hessler's very sinister essays on the theme of retribution claiming long-delayed victims, and reaching out even from beyond the grave. Lots of blood, though mostly spilled at night, not a little style and the eye-opening climax (just when one thought the evil was over) that was to become a Hessler trademark. That personable leading lady Hilary Dwyer became involved with several creepy films at this time, including The Body Stealers, Witchfinder General and Cry of the Banshee.
