An established stage actor, Hodgson began his career in the north-east - Newcastle's Live Theatre Company.

He went on to work in The Miser at Salisbury Playhouse, Studs at the Hull Truck and Wind in the Willows at the National.

Film credits include roles in Mark Herman's Purely Belter, The Low Down, directed by Jamie Thraves and the lead in Big Time Charlie Tomato.

TV appearances include The Bill, Touching Evil and Without Motive.

Recent film work includes the Geordie rom-com The One and Only with Richard Roxburgh.
