Underneath this quiet, thoughtful, straight-to-video drama is an exposé of America's gun culture - which, as such, may not be of huge appeal to British audiences. But it's an intriguing film, mainly because, as the grieving father trying to trace anyone who used the gun that killed his daughter, the late James Coburn gives a commanding final film performance. Barbara Bain, from Seventies TV series Space: 1999, plays his wife, and Virginia Madsen is the daughter they lose. It's no barrel of laughs, but it has plenty to say.
