Burt Reynolds plays a convict offered his freedom if he joins a marshal (Bruce Dern) and his deputy (Seth Peterson) in tracking down a killer (David Figlioli) and his gang. The flabby script lets the stalwart actors down a bit but this still an enjoyable Western, with veterans Reynolds and Dern on good form. Amy Jo Johnson has the dull end of things as a woman seeking to avenge the death of her family by the gang. .
