A light, screwball farce which - if it were old-fashioned - would star an actor such as Cary Grant. Here, though, it's Jamie Foxx (Ray) as Quincy, a nice-guy journalist who, having been recently dumped by his intended, writes a bestselling manual for men on how to break up with a lover. Many cases of mistaken identity follow, some pretty contrived, but the results are amusing as the tables are turned not only on Quincy and his chauvinistic cousin (Morris Chestnut), but also on Quincy's boss (Ally McBeal's Peter MacNicol), who is trying to break up with his golddigging girlfriend (Jennifer Esposito).
